- This icon initialises the CARD: recoverable RAM drive
- from Workbench 1.3. It will also restore said RAMdrive
- after most reboots. If you are having problems with the
- program asking to insert a disk when your system disk
- is already in the drive, just move the main icon over
- to the root directory of your system disk.
-
- To customize your RamDrive, just load the file RamDrive
- into your favorite text editor, and add some AmigaDOS
- commands at the end, like
-
- COPY df0:disk.info to CARD: ;this makes the RAMdrive's
- icon look like a regular
- Workbench disk's, or whatever
- disk you have that's in df0:
-
- note: RELABELing your CARD: from the CLI, or from this icon/file, will
- most likely cause problems, as when I did that, the Workbench didn't
- acknowledge the change.
-
- other note: If you remove the DIR RAM: from your startup-sequence, then you
- can edit a copy of this icon/file to initialise RAM: for you from
- Workbench. Just delete the line that says "MOUNT CARD:" and replace
- "DIR CARD:" with "DIR RAM:". PLEASE! Copy the icon and file before you
- try this!
